The MACBA Foundation organises exclusive pre-openings for its collaborators, who have the privilege of seeing exhibitions behind closed doors, before the general public. During these evenings, they can enjoy tours guided by the director or the exhibition curator and, in many cases, the opportunity to meet the artist personally.
In gratitude for their contributions, every year the Foundation gives a dinner or cocktail party for all its collaborators. This event – increasingly important on the city’s cultural agenda – provides our benefactors with the chance to meet and talk to artists and other outstanding personalities from the sector.
“Salir del MACBA” and other events to collect funds
Every two years the Foundation Workshop organises ‘Salir del MACBA’, a very exclusive event consisting of visiting two private collections, with dinner with the aim of raising funds to purchase a work for the MACBA’s collection. The next of these events will take place in spring 2012. Alongside this, the Foundation also organises other fund-raising events and activities.
